Entertaiment is a wide range of activities that give people pleasure and amusement. It includes anything from ceremonies, celebrations and religious festivals to satire and other forms of social commentary. Entertainment can also be serious in intent, as in a drama or a lecture on history or philosophy. It can involve the whole family, and it is especially important for children. It can be sedentary, as in a television or tablet computer, but it may be physical, as with a ball game or sports, or a recitation of an engaging story like the Scheherazade tale from the professional storytelling tradition.
